Aadhaar Services from UIDAI
The Aadhaar card is now a required document for proving both identity and address. Being up to the task, the Unique Identification Authority of India (UIDAI) offers Aadhaar services that go beyond just providing Indian citizens with an Aadhaar number.
In order to provide Aadhaar applicants and cardholders with prompt resolution of their concerns and issues, UIDAI offers a variety of offline and online services.

Different types of Aadhaar Card Services
Cardholders can access all Aadhaar-related services through a dedicated database maintained by UIDAI, the organisation responsible for issuing Aadhaars. To find enrollment centres, check the status of their application, and download their e-Aadhaar card, Aadhaar applicants can visit the website.

You can access the UIDAI website’s Aadhaar card services from anywhere in India. This self-service portal has been made available by the Indian government and UIDAI so that residents can use the Aadhaar card services at their own pace and convenience.
Verifying Aadhaar Number
UIDAI is the organisation that issues the 12-digit Unique Identification Number (UID/Aadhaar number). Cardholders have the option to verify the accuracy of their UID number using their Aadhaar number. Holders of Aadhaar cards can confirm their UID by taking the steps listed below.
Visit UIDAI’s official website.
Click “Verify an Aadhaar Number” under “My Aadhaar” to do so. The choice is located under “Aadhaar Services.”
There will be a new page. In the space provided, enter the 12-digit UID number.
Type the security code in.
Click the “Reset” button in the top right corner of the page if the Aadhaar number was entered incorrectly. In that case, press the “Verify” button.
The status of the Aadhaar number will be disclosed to cardholders. Along with the cardholder’s age range, gender, registered mobile number, and the state where the Aadhaar card was issued, the page will also include information about these factors.
Verifying Email/Mobile Number
Aadhaar card holders can use this service to confirm the email address and mobile phone number they provided at the time of enrollment. Individuals must go to the official UIDAI page and follow these instructions to verify the mobile number and email provided at the time of Aadhaar enrolment:
The “My Aadhaar” tab is located on the UIDAI website.
Choose the “Verify Email/Mobile Number” radio button. The selection can be made by clicking the “Aadhaar Services” tab.
Specify your Aadhaar UID number.
The registered email address should be entered.
Please enter the Aadhaar-registered phone number. The email or phone number can be verified by the cardholder, or both can be verified.
Put in the security code found in the box.
To obtain an OTP, click the button.
Locking/Unlocking Biometrics
Holders of Aadhaar numbers can use this service to lock their biometrics. No one will be able to authenticate with the UID after it has been locked. This will protect the data from being misused in any way.
Through this Aadhaar service, cardholders can also momentarily unlock their biometric in addition to locking it.
Visit UIDAI’s official website.
Then select “My Aadhaar.”
“Lock/Unlock Biometrics” should be chosen. The selection is accessible from the “Aadhaar Services” menu.
Next, click “Lock/Unlock Biometrics” after confirming your agreement to the terms and conditions.
Enter the Aadhaar number next.
Enter the aforementioned security code.
To send an OTP, click.
To the mobile number associated with Aadhaar, an OTP will be sent.
In the space provided, type the received OTP.
Checking Aadhaar and Bank Account Linking Status
The Aadhaar card service, which is available on the UIDAI website, allows cardholders to check the status of this linking. Cardholders must follow the steps below if they want to know the linking status.
“Check Aadhaar & Bank Account Linking Status” should be chosen.
Type in the Aadhaar 12-digit number.

After the OTP has been verified, UIDAI will access the National Payments Corporation of India (NPCI) portal to retrieve information about the status.
Aadhaar Authentication History
Holders of Aadhaar cards can access this service to view the specifics of authentications made using their cards. The steps below must be taken in order to view the Aadhaar authentication history:
Specify your UID or Aadhaar number.
Put in the security code.
Then select “Generate OTP.”
